You have a lot in common with thousands of others if you chose the best Mac poker sites for MTTs. You’ll find plenty of great tourney players on UB, and the very best make it to the top of the leaderboards. There is an MTT leaderboard and three SnG leaderboards, and each one offers some great prizes.
Many Mac poker sites use point systems to rank their players, and UB does the same. Players get leaderboard points depending on where they place in a tournament and the tournament’s prize pool. The same formula is used for both MTTs and SnGs.
Like many of the flash Texas Holdem sites, the site has split the MTT leaderboard into weekly, monthly, and yearly divisions. The weekly version takes your best 10 results, and $1k is awarded to the person that finishes on top. The monthly leaderboard takes your best 20 results, and there is a $14,000 prize pool for the top 10. Finishing in first place would net you $6,500. And finally, the yearly leaderboard takes your best 100 cashes, similar to the leaderboards you get with the PokerStars download. The top 50 players get entered into an exclusive $36k freeroll. The top ten players receive cash prizes. The best prize is given to the top 2, however: a WSOP Main Event buy-in worth $10,000!
If you are new to US friendly poker sites, it might be beneficial to try the SnG leaderboards instead. The reason for this is that there are separate leaderboards for different stakes. The Diamond division was made for people playing from $1 to $20. Diamond’s weekly prize pool is $1,500 and the monthly prize pool is $5,000. If you play between $21 and $50 buy-ins, you fall into the Heart division. There is a total of $3k up for grabs for the Heart division on a weekly basis and $7k up for grabs on a monthly basis. If you are so serious about the UB leaderboards that you got rid of your Lucky Ace Poker download, you might want to try the Spade division for buy-ins higher than $51. Every week $6k is won while every month $10k is won in this division.
